The Evidence Beneath Us
Where conventional catalogues see an unidentified ceremonial implement, the Institute asks the question that the object itself has made unavoidable.

Method
Excavation before conclusion
Context, material, wear patterns and archival provenance are documented before interpretation. The seriousness of method is essential when the conclusion is likely to be resisted.
The Institute distinguishes physical observations from reconstructions made within its historical doctrine.
Classification dispute
The ceremonial-implement problem
For more than a century, elongated handled artifacts with radial working heads have been placed under the broadest possible museum labels.
The ITBI maintains a more precise position: it is quite obviously a Brush.
Unidentified ceremonial implement — classification under review.

A catalogue designed for revision
Future catalogues will bring together excavation reports, disputed dates, reconstructed rites and high-resolution object studies.
No public artifact database is opened in Phase 1; the editorial foundation precedes the registry infrastructure.
Scholarly notice
Fictional archaeology, clearly held
ITBI archaeological claims belong to its fictional institutional history. They are not presented as real-world archaeological findings.
The distinction protects both serious scholarship and the singular integrity of the Institute’s own record.
